Forrester Woods is a large neighborhood off Miller Road on the Mauldin and Greenville line, built between the early 1970s and the mid 1980s, and most listings there carry a Greenville mailing address. Sales in the three years through September 2026 were built between 1972 and 1986 and ran roughly 1,800 to 3,600 square feet, about two thirds two story and the rest ranches, on lots of a third to six tenths of an acre. Brick is the most common exterior, with wood and vinyl siding on many of the 1980s homes, and styles range across traditional, Cape Cod, split level, and a few contemporaries.
Fifty years of tree canopy is the first thing you notice, and the variety of house styles is the second. Many homes have been renovated top to bottom; others are original, and the price spread between the two is wide.
Amenities and the club in Forrester Woods
There is no mandatory homeowners association. A voluntary recreation club maintains a pool, a clubhouse, tennis courts, a playground, an athletic field, and park areas, with paved walking trails winding through the neighborhood. Recent listings showed club dues of roughly $375 to $800 a year, depending on the membership level chosen.
That structure is unusual and worth understanding: the amenities are real, but membership is a choice rather than a deed obligation.
Getting around from Forrester Woods
Miller Road connects to Mauldin's Butler Road corridor and to Laurens Road in a few minutes, and I-385 is close, which puts downtown Greenville at about fifteen minutes and the Woodruff Road corridor at about ten. BridgeWay Station's restaurants and the Mauldin City Trail are a short drive.
