SC-11, the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway, runs straight through the community, which makes Table Rock and the rest of the foothills corridor an easy out-and-back rather than a full expedition.
Not everything here sits behind a gate. West of the lake, the Eastatoe Valley is open farm country hemmed in by mountains, with a trout stream running its length and the Eastatoe Creek Heritage Preserve at its head. The Nature Conservancy's Nine Times Preserve protects another stretch of forest nearby. Buyers after pasture, a cabin, or land with a creek shop this side of Sunset instead of the waterfront.
