The setting at Keowee Springs
Keowee Springs is on Lake Keowee in the Six Mile area. The PGA’s facility directory and the community’s published builder information place the golf facilities in Six Mile, which is helpful when distinguishing Springs from the other Cliffs communities around the lake.
Start with the lake experience you want, then compare how a home supports it. Some buyers place the greatest value on a private waterfront setting; others prefer being closer to a club destination and spending less time maintaining outdoor space. Trace the route from the home to the places you plan to use. A lake view and convenient water access are separate features to evaluate.
Golf and the clubhouse at Keowee Springs
Tom Fazio designed the Springs golf course with three loops of six holes. That layout allows different lengths of play rather than making every outing a full round. The clubhouse, designed by Hart Howerton, combines dining and gathering spaces with golf and wellness facilities.
If shorter rounds are part of the appeal, discuss the actual booking arrangements during a club visit. Consider how golf fits around work, visitors or other activities. For the home itself, compare privacy and outdoor living with proximity to the course. A view across fairways may be attractive, but the rooms and terrace you use most should also feel comfortable when the course is active.
The two waterside clubs at Keowee Springs
The Beach Club and the Lake Club at The Landing are distinct destinations. The Beach Club is associated with swimming, waterslides and casual lakeside activity. The Lake Club combines pools, dining and wellness space with a connection to the water. The Cliffs described the Lake Club as operating in its June 2025 update.
Compare both places if time on the water is central to your search. Ask about current services and how your intended membership relates to them. Then compare a candidate home’s access with the way you would use the lake: taking children to a pool, launching a paddling outing or keeping a boat ready for an early start.
Neighborhood choices at Keowee Springs
Clubhouse Village, Solstice Park, The Landing and Waterscape appear in the developer’s current release directory for Keowee Springs. These names identify smaller settings within the same community. A release page is useful for understanding the plan, while the status of a particular lot, home or boat slip requires its own confirmation.
When comparing a finished home with a proposed build, ask for a complete scope of work, the site requirements and the expected sequence of approvals. Include outdoor areas and access arrangements in that comparison. For a lakefront purchase, review the actual shoreline and dock documentation. Choose a property for the rights and features it has, rather than assuming everything pictured in the wider community belongs to the purchase.
