The Long Version

Living in Rock Ridge

The homes in Rock Ridge

Rock Ridge is an established subdivision near US-123 in Easley, built mostly in the mid to late 2000s on streets like Spirit Mountain Lane, Giants Ridge Road, and Eagles View Court. The homes that sold in the three years through September 2026 were built between 2005 and 2010 and ran roughly 1,900 to 2,300 square feet, about two thirds two story and the rest single level, with brick fronts over vinyl siding on lots of a quarter to nearly half an acre and no basements. It is a neighborhood of one era, so the streetscape is consistent and the homes are all at the same point in their life.

That point is worth naming: homes built in the mid 2000s are now at the age where the original roof and the first HVAC system are at or near the end of their expected life, and those two items, along with the water heater and any builder grade windows, set the real price more than square footage does.

Amenities and the HOA in Rock Ridge

The neighborhood is governed by an active homeowners association that maintains the entrance and common areas and enforces the covenants; there is no pool or clubhouse, which keeps the dues modest, about $100 to $150 a year in recent sales. Sidewalks and street lights run through the neighborhood.

For a buyer, the practical items are the association's current dues and rules, which we pull for any specific home, and the age of the major systems described above.

Getting around from Rock Ridge

The location is the reason many buyers choose it: US-123 is at hand, so Greenville is about twenty five minutes east and Clemson about twenty minutes west, which suits households commuting in both directions. Downtown Easley's shops and restaurants and the Doodle Trail are a few minutes away, and SC-153 reaches Powdersville and I-85 in about fifteen.

Homes sold here in the last three years were assigned to West End Elementary, Richard H. Gettys Middle, and Easley High. Assignments are set by address in the Pickens County School District, and we confirm zoning on any specific home.

What has sold in Rock Ridge lately

Between September 2023 and September 2026, 13 homes closed in Rock Ridge through the MLS. Setting aside the outliers at each end, they sold from about $302,000 to $335,000. Roughly 38 percent were single level homes and the rest two story. Many had four or more bedrooms. Those are the sales we pull comparables from, so ask us for the current picture before relying on any range; a renovated home and an original one on the same street can sit far apart.
